LE FAUBOURG (Construction in progress)

This project involves the construction of a rental complex with five residences in a central Montreal neighborhood. Drawing inspiration from the area’s industrial past, where decommissioned factories have been transformed into housing and artist studios, the architecture reflects this heritage. The design employs various architectural strategies to ensure each unit benefits from optimal natural light. Features include a verdant English courtyard at the front of the building and a central, green inner courtyard, allowing for cross-ventilation in each residence. The use of glass brick enables ample natural light while maintaining resident privacy. The project reinterprets historical elements with red brick, generous industrial-style windows, and relief brick colonnades, seamlessly blending past and present
