Kim Pariseau
Founding architect, member OAQ
With over 15 years of professional experience, Kim Pariseau’s expertise lies in her formal training as both an architect and interior designer. Her experiences studying and working in both Quebec and Denmark lie at the heart of her passion for northern architecture. After beginning her career working for major architectural firms, she founded Appareil in 2011. She has since completed numerous residential, commercial, and institutions projects, which have garnered the firm multiple awards and international recognition. Kim herself has won awards for her work, and has received international praise for her sense of aesthetics.
Marc-Olivier Champagne-Thomas
Architect associated, OAQ member
Marc-Olivier graduated with a Masters in Architecture from University of Montreal and a minor in Urban Planning. He has worked on numerous winning and finalist projects in institutional architecture competitions throughout his career, and has great experience in multidisciplinary teams. This background, coupled with his work on various commercial and residential projects, has afforded him a mastery of all project scales. Marc-Olivier is also a member of Mercier Hochelaga-Maisonneuve's committee of urbanism.
Esther Leduc
Senoir interior designer
With a Bachelor of Interior Design from University of Montreal, Esther’s passion lies in the creativity and efficiency of projects. With previous experience as a manager and consultant, she has worked on a wide variety of residential and commercial projects. Esther joined Appareil in 2014, where she is involved at different levels in various projects for the firm. She treats all projects with equal importance, imbuing even the smallest projects with a great attention to detail.
Marie-Andrée Bérubé
Architect member of the OAQ
Having graduated with a Masters in Architecture from the University of Montreal, Marie-Andrée is a member of the Quebec Order of Architects with nearly 10 years of experience. She participated in the Grands Ateliers de L'Isle-d'Abeau during her exchange year at the National School of Architecture in Grenoble. After gaining experience in various Montreal firms, Marie-Andrée joined Appareil in 2017 as an architect and project manager.
Olive Deschênes
Interior designer
With a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design from UQAM and a technical degree in Interior Design at Cegep du Vieux-Montreal, Olive has a holistic view of interior aesthetics and design. She works on projects through all their different elements and scales, creating a harmonious environment that combines both aesthetics and functionality.
Gregory-Charles Blanchette
Designer and Architectural technician
With both a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design and a technical degree in Architecture already under his belt, Gregory-Charles is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Environmental Design at UQAM. He is particularly interested in the design of new techniques and products as they are related to the recycling and revaluation of materials.
Romy Desgroseiller
junior Architect
With a Masters in Architecture from the University of Montreal, Romy is particularly interested in details, materiality, and the essence that gives forms meaning. Her approach aims to create spaces that have the strength to convey emotion
